2. General information on data processing
We process personal data only in accordance with legal requirements. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is operated on a STRATO virtual server. When the website is accessed, technically required data is processed by the server, for example IP address, date and time of access, requested page or file, transferred data volume, browser type, operating system and referrer URL. Processing is carried out to provide the website, maintain system security, analyse errors and defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The storage period depends on the technical settings of the hosting provider.
4. Registration and user account
For registration for the ET Modules, first name, last name, email address, preferred language, registration status and technical timestamps are processed. The email address is used for unique assignment and access confirmation. The full email address must be unique; identical domain names after the @ are possible.
5. Email confirmation, alias and password
After registration, a confirmation link is sent by email. The link is valid for 24 hours. After opening the link, the user can set an alias name and a password. Passwords are stored only as hashes; plain-text passwords are not stored.
6. Login, sessions and protection against duplicate login
During login, session data is processed, in particular a session ID, login time, IP address, browser information and last activity time. Only one active session is intended per user account. If a second login attempt is made with the same access data, a security code may be sent by email. After successful code entry, the new session is activated and the old session is ended or replaced.
7. Forgot password
When the “forgot password” function is used, a time-limited reset link is generated and sent by email. After a successful password change, the reset link becomes invalid.
8. Admin notifications
The operator receives an internal notification when a new registration is made and when a user account logs in successfully for the first time. This notification serves platform administration, security and traceability.
9. Contact form
If you use the contact form, the data you enter is processed. Name and email address are optional if a reply is desired. The message is used only to process the request. Emails are sent via the server or PHP mail of elektrokurse.de.
10. Cookies
We use only technically necessary cookies, in particular for session/login and to store cookie settings. No analytics or tracking cookies are used.
11. No analytics and no tracking
No Google Analytics, Matomo or comparable analytics or tracking system is currently used.
12. Future paid offers
If paid services are offered in the future, payment data may be processed via separate payment service providers. In that case, users will be informed in advance about the specific processing.
13. Recipients and service providers
Recipients of personal data may be technical service providers, in particular hosting providers and email services, insofar as this is required for operating the website and platform. Data is transferred to third parties only if permitted by law, required for contract performance or based on consent.
14. Storage period
Personal data is stored only as long as required for the respective purposes or statutory retention obligations. Unused or expired tokens may be deleted or invalidated. Session data is ended or marked accordingly after expiry or logout.
15. Legal bases
Depending on the purpose, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for legitimate interests in security, operation and administration of the platform, and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent is required.
16. Rights of data subjects
Subject to legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to certain processing and withdrawal of consent with future effect.
17. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
18. Data security
We take technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include password hashing, access restrictions, session protection and separation of the admin and participant areas.
